Vcomp.dll is either not designed to run on windows

Thanks for your feedback. Alex Lindquist. I keep getting this "Bad Image" error, and it's interfering with my computer operation, slowing things down, and just being a general pain.

I don't think apphelp is the complete culprit, since this is a common yet somehow unsolved, where ever I look problem that occurs for a variety of different. See here. Please help, I just finished recovering my computer from a full factory reset, which I had to employ to get the non-functional computer to work again. I just finished reinstalling all of my software and updates for said software, only a few days ago, and I really don't want to got through that again.

I'm using vista home premium, 32 bit, service pack 2 I think, and I can provide any other information that is necessary. This thread is locked.

I figured that it was a Windows problem since it started right after a Windows update. I contacted Microsoft Technical Support.

They had me try various things and finally decided that we should reinstall Windows from scratch. Unfortunately that didn't solve the problem.

In addition I now can't reset Windows to a previous configuration! I really don't understand what the problem might be though since I now have a clean installation of the latest version of both Windows and AutoCAD!

I have just one more question: I downloaded the bit version which has two parts. The instructions tell you to download both parts but then tells you only to run the first part. I suggest you rename the thread with "[Solved]" on the left of your original title, or go on the post that solved your issue and click the check mark on the upper-right side tap the arrow first when using mobile. This is in case anyone has encountered the same problem.
